SUMMARY:“Revolutionary Lives: Living the American Experiment” Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:Exhibition Dates in 120ES Fellowship Hall: \n\nDecember 23rd 12pm – 2pm\nDecember 26th 12pm – 2pm\nDecember 27th 10am – 4pm\nDecember 28th 2:30 am – 4pm\nJanuary 3rd 12pm – 2pm\nJanuary 4th 12pm – 2pm\nJanuary 5th 12pm – 2pm\n\nAbout The Exhibition \nThe American Revolution created dramatic disruptions and opportunities for the people of New Jersey. While much is known about the challenges faced by the leaders of the conflict\, most Americans are less familiar with the experiences of ordinary people. We invite you to explore their lives and how their experiences\, views\, and choices were shaped by their unique circumstances. \nNew Jersey’s diversity mirrors its Revolutionary narrative. Like today\, the state was a rich mix of distinct languages\, religions\, and cultures. Loyalties were roughly divided between those supporting the Revolution\, those opposed\, and the rest who were uncommitted. Allegiances bred bitter divisions and deep suspicion\, in many ways creating a civil war. By the end of the War\, the state suffered more damage than most and endured more violent clashes than any other. \nThe traveling exhibition explores this tumultuous period through the stories of everyday people under extraordinary circumstances. They urge us to consider how their stories echo through time\, and what we can do to fulfill the promises and ideals of the Revolution. \nThis exhibition is a project of RevolutionNJ\, a public/private partnership between the New Jersey Historical Commission\, a division of the New Jersey Department of State\, and Crossroads of the American Revolution Association\, Inc.

SUMMARY:Kenny Bullock Presents: All The Things We Carry Opening Reception
DESCRIPTION:Kenny Bullock\, one of 120 East State’s esteemed board members\, would love to invite you to her upcoming exhibition\, all that we carry: an ode to love\, struggle\, politics\, and scholarship\, opening January 18 at Camden FireWorks. The show will run through March 8. \nOpening night is called The Fugitive Chorus — a live activation that gathers sound\, movement\, and memory into one shared space. It’s part ceremony\, part conversation\, part call. \nIf you come\, bring something small to leave in the space — a note\, a photo\, a piece of fabric\, a word. Something that speaks to what you carry or what carries you. Together\, these offerings will become part of a growing archive of love\, grief\, and becoming.
